864,110. Spin driers. SCHARPF, O., SCHARPF, E., and SCHARPF, E.. [trading as SCHARPF, KOMMANDIT, GESCELSCHAAFT MASCHINENFABRIK GEB.] Nov. 5, 1959 [Feb. 9, 1959], No. 37539/59. Class 34(2) Liquid is discharged from a spin drier by a pump 24 through piping comprising a connector 23, a two-part swivel joint 20, 30, attached to the drier casing 11 and a conduit 36. The joint comprises a tapered ring 29 of the part 20 forcibly inserted in the part 30 such contact being maintained by a screw ring 33 which engages a thread on the part 30 and embraces a flange 28 of the part 20 the latter being held to the aperture 25 in the casing wall by a nut 26.
