Abstract
863,026. Swash-plate mechanisms. HALFORD, E. A. July 22, 1957 [May 4, 1956], No. 13895/56. Class 80 (3). [Also in Group XXVII] In a machine in which a reciprocating pistonrod 43 acts against the surface of a rotating swash-plate 5, the rod is provided with a slipper member 7 7 of nylon which slides on the plate surface. The slipper is formed part-spherical to co-operate with a similar recess 76 in the end of the rod 43 and has a chamfered edge 81 to trap lubricant. A passage 82 supplies lubricant to the part-spherical surfaces of the slipper and rod. The swash-plate 5 is pivotable on a crosspin 12 on a rectangular portion 6 of its shaft 5 to adjust its inclination and held in desired position by triangular-shaped plates 8 adjustably locked to the shaft portion 6 by bolts 21- 24. Each opposed pair of piston-rods are coupled by a fork member 64 sliding on a guiderod 68.
