Abstract

861,000. Troughing idler rollers for endlessbelt conveyers. MINING ENGINEERING CO. Ltd. July 1, 1959 [.July 10, 1958; July 31, 1958], Nos. 22131/58 and 24645/58. Class 78 (1). The rigid axles of troughing idler rollers 17, 18 are pivotally connected by links 19, and the outer ends of the axles of the outermost rollers 18 are supported from a frame through torsional mountings. As shown, links 21 are pivoted between the axles and lugs 22 secured to sleeves 23 bonded to rubber bushes 24 bonded to sleeves 25 secured by bolts 26 to longitudinally-extending tubular stringers 10 supported by brackets 11 on uprights 12. In a modification, Figs. 5, 6 (not shown), the link 21 is pivotally connected to an arm welded to a sleeve which is bonded to a rubber bush mounted in a bracket secured in a stringer of channel-section. In a further modification, Figs. 3, 4 (not shown), the idler rollers are supported in individual transverse frames instead of from longitudinally - extending stringers.
