859,947. Cushions &c. DUNLOP RUBBER CO. Ltd. Sept. 10, 1957 [Oct. 12, 1956], No. 31095/56. Class 52(4) A cushioned seating component for a chair has a covering 11 of leathercloth, textile fabric or other material, padding 12 of polyurethane foam, foam rubber or other material, a base 13 supporting the padding and a backing sheet 14, the backing sheet and either the cover or the padding being joined together along their peripheral portions. The base 13 may be rigid, of plywood or synthetic resin or a frame across which extend flexible members, resilient such as tension springs or inextensible as webbing, the backing sheet being hessian. Specification 748,990 is referred to.
