Abstract

Compositions for fireproofing textiles (see Group VIII) comprise polychloroprene, antimony trioxide and chlorinated paraffin wax or chlorinated diphenyl. The compositions may also contain one or more of the following: zinc borate, tritolyl phosphate, fatty acid, magnesium or zinc oxide, or a mineral filler, e.g. china clay, talc or whiting, and may be applied in the presence of a solvent, e.g. a mixture of toluol and petroleum naphtha, which is subsequently evaporated.
