Abstract
855,820. Endless conveyers. MOHWINKEL, F. March 31, 1958, No. 10235/58. Class 78 (1). [Also in Group XXIV] An endless conveyer for agricultural purposes consists of a pair of endless belts 2 reinforced by internal steel strips or wires, the belts being toothed on their inner faces to engage driving wheels 7 and return wheels 11, and a series of transverse rods 5 which are secured in blocks 4 formed on the outer faces of the belts. The rods are received in apertures in the blocks 4 but may be riveted directly to the steel reinforcement. The driving wheels 7 each comprise a disc 8 and a ring 9 secured in spaced relation by riveted driving pins 10. The teeth 3 on the inner faces of the belts extend between the disc and the ring to engage the pins 10, each belt having smooth portions on either side of the teeth to engage the rims 13. Dirt picked up by the belts 2 can escape through the opening 15. The return wheels 11 comprise a pair of spaced discs which are perforated for this purpose.
