Abstract

854,460. Masted lift-trucks; endless conveyers. TALBOT-PONSONBY & CO. Ltd., HEYWOOD, N., and STEER, J. M. Feb. 19, 1957 [Feb. 21, 1956], No. 5349/56. Classes 78 (1) and 78 (3). The vertically - movable platform of a lifting- truck is provided with an endless conveyer for moving the load horizontally. As shown, endless roller chains 15, Fig. 3, which may be driven in either direction manually, electrically or hydraulically, are provided on the vertically-movable platform 13 of the truck, and a member 35 removably attached to the chains 15 is used to push a load off the platform or to pull it on with the aid of slings 40. Idler chains 30 and rollers 31 are provided to facilitate movement of the load. A member 42, Fig. 5, may be secured to the member 35 by struts 43 and used to push the load well clear of the platform.
