Class 29 A unitary heat-exchange sheet preferably made by roll-forging includes condenser and evaporator passages 16 and 19, 20, 21, a branch passage 26 extending to the edge of the sheet from the junction of the condenser and evaporator and being adapted to form inlet and outlet connections to a refrigerant dryer 11. As shown, the dryer inlet comprises a short tube 31 extending into branch passage 26 and welded thereto and the outlet consists of a tube 32 which extends through passage 26 and into the entry 27 of the evaporator to constitute the restrictor tube 17. Entry 27 is sealed from passage 26 and condenser outlet 25 by a plug of low melting point metal and a sleeve 45. Specification 850,866 is referred to.
