Abstract

852,453. Valve bags. NATRONZELLSTOFFUND PAPIERFABRIKEN A.G. Jan. 7, 1959 [Jan. 11, 1958], No. 578/59. Class 94(2). A single or multiply block bottomed valved bag 1 has an interior valve tube 6 of flexible paper or synthetic foil formed into strips 9 by slots 8 at its inner end. The slots are distributed over the entire periphery of the tube 6 but do not extend as far as the inner edge of a corner flap 2. The tube 6 is attached by a strip 10, which may be separately formed or formed from the bag, of any desired width the outer edge 11 of which is approximately level with the outer corners of the base flaps 4, 5. The tube 6 may comprise a flexible synthetic tube, for example of polyethylene, inside or outside a tube of flexible paper, such as creped paper, and where a multiply tube is used each ply has slots 8.
