851,963. Supporting lamps. HOUPLAIN, G. May 8, 1959 [May 9, 1958], No. 15909/59. Class 75(3). [Also in Group XXV] A support for mounting a lamp in a recess e.g. in a ceiling, consists of a ring arranged between the lighting unit and the ceiling having a plurality of attachments to receive hooking lugs which pass through the ceiling and are bent over to retain the support ring in place. The support ring may have a frusto-conical part 31 on which a lamp 6 having a hemispherical support 1 rests so as to be adjustable to vary the direction of the light. The support ring 3 has three spaced lugs 8 into each of which is hooked a hanger 7 provided with teeth which bite into the ceiling when the hanger is bent over.
