A chain link is formed with tongues 25, 26, 27 and apertures 21, 20 and the adjacent ends of contiguous links detachably engage as in Fig. 2 to form a continuous chain, the apertures 20 serving for engagement with the chain sprocket, and the pairs of mutually-engaging tongues 27 serving as pivots about which the chain-bends around the sprocket.
