Abstract
849,966. Installing door &c. frames. HRACHOWINA, F. Feb. 4, 1959 [Feb. 4, 1958], No. 3931/59. Class 20(3) A timber frame such as a window or door frame 41, Fig. 5 is provided during construction in a workshop &c. with extensions 43, 431 on both sides of the frame which replace the usual cover strips when the frame is placed in the wall opening and are spaced from the side faces of the wall 2, the inner faces 44, 441 of the extensions being preferably flat and when the frame is placed in the wall opening or has the wall built around it and then the plaster 3, applied, this latter fills the spaces between the extensions 43, 431 and the wall 2. Preferably the central part of the frame 41 directly engages the end face of the wall core 2. The extensions may be separate members, 23, Fig. 2, glued or screwed &c. to the frame 21 and fillets 25, 251 are provided on both sides of the surface 22. The extensions 73, 731, Fig. 8 have glued tongue or groove connections with the door frame 71.
