848,945. Temporary shelters. RUDD, C. D. Feb. 10, 1958 [Feb. 12, 1957], No. 4289/58. Class 20(1) A temporary shelter consists of a number of constructional units each comprising a frame 1 of longitudinal members 1a and cross members 1b covered by a facing material 2. One pair of diagonally opposite ends of the longitudinal members is offset at 1 c and all the ends are drilled at 7 so that two units may be hinged together by means of pins 3 which may be fixed in the longitudinal members which are not offset. The units are held together along their sides by projections 4 passing through holes 5; alternately bolts may be used. The facing material may be corrugated iron, transparent material, asbestos cement board or tempered hardboard. More than two units may be connected endwise in which case rigid locking bars are connected between adjacent pairs of units.
