848,194. Work-holders. RICHARDSON, R. W. A. March 18, 1959, No. 9399/59. Class 83 (3). [Also in Group XXXII] An adjustable portable work-support for drilling-machines &c. comprises a base 1, two rear wheels 2, and a front wheel 2a pivoted at 3a on a trunnion 3 on the base. A work-supporting roller 6 is rotatable on a bell-crank 9, and is adjustable vertically by a screw 11. When downward pressure is exerted on a lever 4 rigidly attached to the mounting 5 of the wheel 2a, the latter is depressed and the support may be moved on its three wheels. When the work is in position, the pressure is released from lever 4, wheel 2a moves upwardly due to the weight of the device and work, and the trunnion 3 rests on the ground to immobilize the support.
