845,763. Multi-storey garages. GORE, G. April 9, 1957, No. 11572/57. Class 20(1) A multi-storey garage of substantially rectangular shape comprises in one corner up ramps 13 and down ramps 14 arranged concentrically to connect adjacent floors and forming with a portion of each floor a pair of circular spiral paths around which cars move in the same circumferential direction. Parking spaces disposed as shown have three traffic lanes between them, the outer ones D and H are fed by the upcoming ramps and the inner one G feeds the downgoing ramps. The ramps are supported by pylons 11 and posts 12 and the columns 6 support the floors. Pedestrian lifts 9 are incorporated.
