Abstract

844,998. Power lift mechanisms. MASCHINENFABRIK AUGSBURG - NURNBERG A. G. April 1, 1959 [April 3, 1958], No. 10985/59. Class 79(1). A vehicle hydraulic power lift comprises a cylinder 1 securely attached to the vehicle frame 2, a piston 6, piston rod 14 and crankshaft 17 by which the power lift shaft 16 (to which an agricultural implement may be mounted) is rotated and is characterized in that the piston has a convexly cambered surface with a centre of curvature at 8 and is provided in a recess 7 with an annular gasket 9 located by a plate 12 which has freedom of radial movement with respect to the piston rod 14 but not with respect to the cylinder. The pressure fluid is admitted through a duct 3. The gasket 9 is provided with a groove 10 engaged by a bulge 11 on the plate 12. The plate. 12 is retained by a circlip 13. The piston may be returned by spring means or may be returned by the admission of pressure fluid in the space 5 which would be appropriately sealed.
