Abstract

844,410. Projection lamps. MOLERICHARDSON (ENGLAND) Ltd. Feb. 13, 1958 [Dec. 4,1957], No. 37806/57. Class 75(4). The bulb 1 of a projection lamp, e g. for use in the cinematographic, television or theatre industry, is mounted on a carriage 2 carried by the back 4 of the lamp housing 3, and has rollers 5 at its corners adjacent the bulb which move within channels 6 formed within the housing at an inclination of say 20 degrees to the horizontal so that as the back 4 is drawn away from the housing and with the aid of a telescopic coupling 79 pivoted at one end 8 to back 4, and sliding in a horizontal groove 10 in the housing, the back 4 and carriage 2 tip up to enable the lamp 1 to be withdrawn and replaced. The back is moved by a travelling nut 13 on a screw 12 rotatable by means of a handle 11 and this nut is rigidly connected to the member 7 by a link 14. A stop 15 on the screw limits the outward movement of the link 14 and hence of the carriage.
