Abstract
842,773. Two-part couplings. SIEMENS EDISON SWAN Ltd. Jan. 1, 1959 [Jan. 10, 1958], No. 1041/58. Class 38(1). An electric adaptor comprises an insulating body 1 of thermo-setting plastic material having a hollow cap 2, for stud contacts, and a metal pin 9 extending diametrically through holes 8 and having its ends projecting outside the cap to form a bayonet coupling to a holder. The pin is a free fit in holes 8 and has a central recess engaged by projection 11 on an internal surface of the cap base. Alternatively a projection on the pin may engage a recess in the cap base. Sockets in the adaptor are held in place by screws which also connect them to the stud contacts (Fig. 1 not shown).
