Abstract
842,273. Wagon tipplers. BARKER & SON ENGINEERS Ltd., W. H. Dec. 10, 1958 [Dec. 24, 1957; Feb. 28, 1958], Nos. 40107/57 and 6499/58. Class 78 (4). An anti-breakage shoot c (Fig. 4) beneath a tippler can be hinged between the delivery position illustrated and a substantially horizontal position in which it retains material. As illustrated the shoot delivers to an air lock n closed by a sliding gate o and by a gate k carried by the shoot c when the shoot c is in its upper position where it is closed by a fixed wall f. The shoot c is raised and lowered by ropes e operated by a ram. In the construction of Fig. 5 the shoot c can be lowered about either of two suspended hinges r, r<1> to deliver through fixed shoots g, g<1> to either of two conveyers h, h<1>. The shoot c may alternatively be arranged parallel with the axis of the tippler.
