Abstract

841,142. Flexible strip fasteners. SOC. DES PRODUITS INDUSTRIELS NOUVEAUX. Aug. 15, 1956 [Aug. 18, 1955; Jan. 20, 1956; Jan. 25, 1956; March 28, 1956], No. 24984/56. Class 44. A fastener comprises two similar strips each having a middle portion with at least two grooves 1 and at least two ridges 2, and flat extensions 3, 3a constituting the marginal portions on either side of the middle portion, the ridges and grooves being complementarily formed for interengagement and the extension 3a being level with the tops of the ridges and the extensions 3 level with the bottom of the grooves, the extensions 3, 3a being of approximately the same width between the middle portions and the free edges. In Figs. 2, 3 and 9, not shown, the fastener is used to close a bag, and in Figs. 4-6, not shown, the edge of extension 3a is cut, to distinguish it from extension 3, by a tool, Fig. 8, not shown.
