Abstract

838,941. Cartons. HUDALY, S. B. Feb. 18, 1958 [May 29, 1957], No. 17093/57. Class 18. A display container for clothing of the kind having a display window 16 in the top portion 7 comprises tapering side walls 8 which are of less depth than the width of the top portion 7 end walls 9 and a bottom portion consisting of two overlapping parts 10 and 11 provided with co-operating tongues 18 and slits 17 for securing the parts together, with at least the top and bottom portions and side walls formed from a single blank of cardboard scored, cut and folded about the score lines. The container may be formed from a single blank of cardboard or the end walls of the container may be formed by the ends of a removable drawer portion which is formed from a second cardboard blank shown in Fig. 4. The panels 27 and 28 form the bottom and side walls respectively and panels 29 and 30 are folded about lines 22 and 23 to form double thickness end walls. Flaps 31 are folded in the reverse direction about lines 24 and secured under tabs 34. The display window 16 may be covered by a sheet of transparent plastic material fixed to the inside of the top portion 7. A carrying handle on one side wall may also be provided.
