Abstract

838,176. Stopping and indicating mechanisms. BREUNING, E. Feb. 14, 1958, No. 4912/58. Classes 120(2) and 120(3) [Also in Groups XL(b)] In a textile spinning machine, ir which slivers 1 pass from cams 2 over a feed roll 3 to a draw. ing frame 4, a bar (or bars) 8 is arranged at some distance below the slivers and a light beam 5 is cut off from a photo-cell when a broken sliver or sliver end falls on to the bar 8 so as to stop the machine or operate an indicator. The bar may be hollow, or a number of bars may be eccentrically mounted for rotation about an axis.
