Abstract
The invention comprises compounds of the general formula <FORM:0836943/IV (b)/1> and their acid addition salts, wherein R is an alkyl radical of 1-3 carbon atoms and R1 a radical -[(CH2)2-O]x-(CH2)2-OH, wherein x is 1 or 2 and the preparation thereof by reacting a 4 - phenyl - 4 - carbalkoxy - piperidine with a compound of the general formula <FORM:0836943/IV (b)/2> wherein Hal represents a halogen atom, or by reacting ethylene oxide with either a 4-phenyl-4 - carbalkoxy - piperidine, a 1 - (2 - hydroxy-ethyl) - 4 - phenyl - 4 - carbalkoxy - piperidine or a 1-[2-(2-hydroxy-ethoxy)-ethyl]-4-phenyl-4-carbalkoxy-piperidine.
