836,891. Surgical supports. CAMP & CO., S. H. Sept. 7, 1956 [Feb. 9, 1956], No. 27501/56. Class 81 (2). [Also in Group VII] A girdle or body bandage has a reinforcing panel 28 secured in chorded relationship with respect to the back panel 22 to give support to the lumber region of the body. The reinforcing panel comprises a central inelastic portion 32 attached along its convex side edges to the concave side edges of elastic side portions 30. Pockets 26, 36 for stiffeners are provided in the garment and reinforcing panel respectively, the stiffeners in the panel being-of arcuate form. The front panel 12 and side panels 18, 20 are stretchable horizontally, while the panels 14, 16 are of biascut elastic material stretchable in the direction of the arrows b, and the back panel 22 is inelastic.
