816,150. Corsets. POIRETTE CORSETS Inc. Feb. 24, 1956, No. 5852/56. Class 141 A girdle or pantie-girdle comprises front and rear panels 10, 13 of vertical-stretch fabric and side panels 15 of two-way stretch fabric which is reinforced by sewing elastic bands 25, 27, 32 thereto so as to provide a large triangular two-way stretch area surrounded by independent two-way stretch areas. Each side panel 15 includes a triangular insert 28 of twoway stretch fabric with stiffeners along its side edges. A crotch piece 21 and elastic waist and leg bands 41, 22 are also provided. Additional stiffeners 36. 39 are provided at the upper edges of the front and rear panels.
