836,486. Securing chairs in rows. BIDDULPH INDUSTRIES Ltd., BIDDULPH C. L., and REASON, N. P. Aug. 15, 1958 [March 1, 1958], No. 6644/58. Class 52(2) Tubular framed stacking chairs are secured in rows by spigot and socket joints on the ends of the front floor bar 11 and rear seat bar 14 and the rows are coupled by flat bars 23 resting on the floor, and provided with spigot and socket connections to the base rails 12. Pivoted latches can be mounted on the spigots between adjacent chairs to couple them together. Specification 836,488 is referred to.
