Abstract
835,529. Mounting bearings. BLACKBURN GROUP Ltd., [formerly BLACKBURN & GENERAL AIRCRAFT Ltd.], and LITTLEFORD, F. June 23,1958, No. 20038/58. Class 12(1). A bearing support for two independent coaxial shafts comprises two bearing housings 1, 2 mounted concentrically as a single unit, the housing 2 being made flexible by the provision of longitudinal slots 8 and its flexing being limited by three pads 9, 10, 11 on a supporting structure 7. The housings 1, 2 have external peripheral flanges 5, 6 which are united by being engaged in a recess in the supporting structure 7. Lubricant is fed to the bearings 3, 4 through channels 12, 13, a tube 14 and jets 19, 19<SP>1</SP>. Specification 824,814 is referred to.
