Abstract

831,521. Hopper feeders. BISINGER, B: Jan. 11, 1956, No. 1001/56. Class 120(1) Fibrous cotton materal is fed from hopper 1 to plucking roller 4 by rollers 2, 3 and falls on to endless band 9, which delivers it on to endless elevator 10. The surplus material falls back into space 12 where a constant level thereof is maintained by feeler plate 13 movement of which are transmitted by linkage 14 to switch 8 which controls the drive of rollers 2, 3. The material is stripped from elevator 10 by roller 15 and delivered into outlet passage 21 by guide roller 17. Passage 21 is resiliently mounted and vibrated to condense the material which is discharged by rollers 23 and 24, on to endless band 25 feeding an opening machine.
