Abstract
830,174. Valve bag-filling machines. SACK FILLERS Ltd. May 9, 1957 [May 28, 1956], No. 16440/56. Class 94(1). Filled valve bags discharged from a chair 1 are received on a catcher 5 where first the valves 9 are closed and then the catcher is tilted to transfer the bag onto a conveyer belt 19. With the arrangement shown in Fig. 1 the catcher is biased to a stable position by the loaded bag and is discharged by moving handle 11, but in the modification shown in Fig. 3, the catcher, when loaded, tends to tilt in the direction of the arrow, but is returned in the position shown by a catch 15, 16 releasable either by handle 17 or pedal 18. Return movement of the catcher is effected manually or by a counterweight or spring 20.
