Abstract

829,216. Packages ; boxes. PERRY CHAIN CO. Ltd. Dec. 5, 1957 [Jan. 23, 1957], No. 2359/57. Classes 18 and 94(1). A length of drive chain 1 is arranged in zig-zag or serpentine formation in a shallow cardboard box 2 with one of its ends positioned adjacent an aperture 3 and provided with a string 5 by which it may be withdrawn through the aperture to be cut into shorter lengths as required. The aperture 3 is formed in an end closure flap 2a secured by adhesive tapes 6 and is initially closed by a flush-fitting cover piece 4 connected to the flap at opposite points 4a so that it may be easily broken away. The ends of the string 5 protrude between the edges of the piece 4 and the aperture. The cover piece may be protected by adhesive tape.
