Classes 44 and 89(2) A staple-like fastener comprises a body 1, Fig. 3, preformed to the shape it assumes in use, and being of elastic material, e.g. steel wire or synthetic resin. In use the limbs 2, Fig. 2, are opened by means applying force at positions A, and the fastener is passed through the sheets B to be secured together. On removal of said means, the body springs back to its preformed shape. In a modification, the limbs are opened by pressing on the centre of the back of the body
