826,710. Hay-tedders. GOODALL, C., and GOODALL, M. July 30, 1958 [Aug. 9, 1957], No. 25157/59. Class 6(3). A hay-tedder comprises a frame 3 carrying a rotor 7 for raising and tossing the crop, a pair of mutually-inclined vertical baffles 16 being mounted behind the rotor to compact the crop laterally as it is being tossed. The frame may be wheeled, as shown, or may be mounted on tractor draught-links. The rotor, which is similar to that described in Specification 824,013 is driven either from the wheels 4 or from the power take-off of the towing vehicle through a shaft 9 gearing 10 and a chain-drive 13. The baffles are corrugated vertically and are adjustable by stays 17. A shield (not shown) covers the rotor 7 to deflect the crop towards the baffles.
