[Also in Group XXXVI] A sealing device for pipes passing through a wall 3 subjected on the two faces thereof to different media, comprises two plates 1, 2 of rubber or elastic plastic material each provided with at least one integral boss 6 having apertures 7, 11 for the passage of the pipes, fluid tightness of these apertures being obtained by injecting sealing medium into channels 9 formed in the opposed faces of the plates. The latter are fastened to the wall by clamping a cover 4 over the plates, and the bosses of the plate 2 engage in correspondingly dimensioned slots in the wall. As shown, the semi-circular channels 9 connect the apertures 7, 11 with holes 8 in the plate 1, and the plate 2 has a peripheral lip which is compressed against the wall by the covers 4<SP>1</SP>, 4<SP>2</SP> ; the lip may be replaced by a channel 16 communicating with the holes 8 and filled with sealing medium. Transverse slits 17 extend from the apertures 7, 11 to facilitate mounting of the plates on pipes previously passed through the wall.
