Abstract
824,217. Vehicle mirrors. LUCAS (INDUSTRIES) Ltd., J. June. 24, 1958 [July 3, 1957], No. 20978/57. Class 103(2) To enable a rear view mirror a within a frame b to return to its original position after displacement, the mirror is mounted on an attachment plate d on the exterior of a road vehicle by two hinges c and a spring-loaded control link e. The outer end of link e is attached to a pin i inserted through slots h formed in opposite sides of an enclosure f secured to frame b. One end of spring g contained within the enclosure, is supported by the adjacent end of the enclosure and the other end abuts a washer k supported by a roller m on the pin i, which roller abuts a rubber pad o to which is attached a stop-piece n by which the angle of the mirror relative to the vehicle can be adjusted.
