A cam-actuated rocker 29 has a transverse strut 24, one end of which pivots in a recess 6 in a base 1, the other end of the strut engaging a groove in a contact spring 31 so that as the rocker pivots, the contact 32 has a combined pivotal movement towards fixed contact 33 and a transverse wiping movement relatively thereto so as to clean the contacts. The rocker is biased counterclockwise by a spring 8 and is limited in this movement by edges 13 thereon engaging fixed abutments 12.
