Abstract

819,500. Releasable fastenings. GOMME Ltd., E. Oct. 8, 1957 [Oct. 8, 1956; Jan. 4, 1957], Nos. 30666/56 and 479/57. Class 44 [Also in Group XIV] A disassemblable wardrobe has removable sliding-folding doors. The pivoted and sliding ends of each door are secured in a socket and a groove respectively by a bolt 49 of which the spring pressed shaft 53 carries a nylon roller 54. For securing the walls and floor of the wardrobe together a locking device comprises a rotatable helical catch 32 mounted in a hollow pressing 30 and engaging apertures in a corresponding part 31 mounted on a wall at right angles to the pressing 30. The wardrobe carries permanent magnets acting on metal plates set in the doors near the folding hinges thus tending to keep the sliding doors in the closed position.
