819,045. Clips; cotters. SIMMONDS AEROCESSORIES Ltd. Nov. 1, 1957 [Nov. 2, 1956], No. 33511/56. Classes 44 and 89(2) A cotter-like-device for limiting relativeaxial-movement between a shaft 16, Fig. 1, and a part 19 turnable relatively thereto, comprises limbs 14, 15 interconnected by a portion 13 which maintains the limbs generally parallel and spaced-apart. The limbs have aligned cut-outs 8, 9, Fig. 2, for snapping laterally over the shaft, and bent to grip said shaft. In another arrangement, the limbs 47, 48, Fig. 3, have extensions 50, 51 to locate the shaft 16 and part 19, and the interconnecting-portion 49 has a slot between the cutouts to admit the shaft. In a modification, the extensions 50, 51 embrace part 19. The extension 51 and the hole therein may be flanged for stiffness.
