813,825. Fixed resistors. PHOTO PRINTED CIRCUITS Ltd. Aug. 31, 1956 [May 31, 1955], No. 15609/55. Class 37. In a printed resistor comprising an insulating support carrying a layer of the resistance material and two metal terminals overlying two ends of the resistance layer, the resistor ends are formed with fingers and the overlying metal is affixed to the insulating support between the fingers as well as to the fingers themselves. The resistance material 11 having fingers 12 is attached to a sheet of foil 10 of a metal such as copper. The resistor 11 and foil 10 are then attached to an insulating support, which may be of resin bonded paper laminate, and part of the foil is etched away to leave a gap 14. The foil remaining forms the terminals for the resistor. Specification 813,821 is referred to.
