Abstract

813,319. Copy-milling. WAYOLLE. E. P. Jan. 26. 1956 [Feb. 1]. 19551. No. 2592/56. Class 83 (3). A pantograph engraving machine comprises an engraving tool 1 and electric motor 7 detachably mountable on either of two arms of the pantograph 5, 11, 12, 13 and a vertically adjustable tracer 16. The tracer 16, which co-operates with patterns or drawings in holders 17, is mounted in a head 51 on an extension of the arm 12. The tool head is secured by a nut 36 and stud 34 on the arm 5. By mounting the tool on the arm 11 the ratio of reproduction is reduced from 1: 2 to 1 : 4. An extension of the arm 13 carries the mounting pivot 21 supported by an arm 22 pivoted to a vertically adjustable bracket 24. The axes of the pivot 21, the tool and the tracer are always in line. The depth of cut is adjusted by rotating the tracer head 51, which is fast with a screw in a tubular support 15. The holders 17 are clamped to the table 18 by screws 62, Fig. 5.
