Abstract
812,721. Envelopes. BIRMINGHAM ENVELOPE CO. Ltd. July 30, 1957 [Aug. 2, 1956], No. 23790/56. Class 146(2) [Also in Group XVII] . An envelope has a front wall b of transparent material joined around the entire periphery to a rear wall c except at a transverse slit a<SP>1</SP> which extends over the complete width of the rear wall intermediate the ends thereof, and is closed by folding the front wall over the rear wall along the slit to expose the contents through the front wall on both sides of the envelope. The envelope may be formed from a single transparent sheet folded twice to form the front and rear walls with the slit a<SP>1</SP> between the abutting ends, and adhesively secured around the edges, Fig. 2. The envelope is sealed by means of transverse lines of adhesive d. In the construction shown in Fig. 5 the rear wall c is slit at a<SP>1</SP>, overlaps the transparent front wall b along the edges and is there secured by adhesive.
