Abstract
Textile materials of polyacrylonitrile are dyed or printed with an oxazine dyestuff of the formula <FORM:0812227/IV (c)/1> wherein R1 represents hydrogen, alkyl or substituted alkyl, R2 represents alkyl, substituted alkyl, aralkyl or aryl, R3 represents hydrogen or a -CH2-CH2-CH2- or <FORM:0812227/IV (c)/2> group linked to the aromatic nucleus in o-position to -NH- and X represents an acid radical. The aromatic nuclei may contain further substituents. Suitable acids X are hydrohalic, sulphuric, phosphoric, aminosulphonic, formic, acetic, propionic, chloracetic and oxalic acids. Dyeing is effected from an acid bath, if necessary with the aid of a dispersing agent. Numerous examples, including one of printing, are given. The dyestuffs may be prepared by reacting 4-nitroso-3-hydroxy-aminobenzenes with 1-amino-5-hydroxy-naphthalene, 7 - hydroxy - 1,2,3,4 - tetrahydrobenzoquinoline, or py - 3 - hydroxy - 1,2,3,4 - tetrahydro - 7 - hydroxy - benzoquinoline in acid medium, or by reacting 4-amino-2-hydroxyazobenzenes with 1 - amino - 5 - hydroxynaphthalenes.
