Class 44 A hose clamp consists of two separate parts adapted to be assembled to form a ring, comprising a metal strap 1 provided with perforations 2 and a bridge piece 1a consisting of a metal strip having at least one bulge 2a, the two ends of the bridge piece being provided with claws 3 for engaging the perforations 2 at both ends of the perforated strap when the latter is located around a hose 5 so as to complete the ring and upon compressing the bulge or bulges to so decrease the circumference of the ring that the strap closes tightly on the hose. The spacing of the claws of the bridge piece is made such that a second such bridge piece can be used intermediate the ends of the band with its claws engaged into perforations to further reduce the circumference of the ring when the bulge or bulges of the second bridge piece is or are compressed.
