550,030. Pipe gaiters. MOORE, C. B. Aug. 15, 1941, No. 10410. [Class 99 (ii)] A rubber or other flexible gaiter for wrapping around a burst pipe is secured by a tapered slide d which engages the metal edges b<SP>3</SP> of the gaiter. The abutting edges of the fabric may overlap or be engaged by a tongue and groove connection b<SP>1</SP> as shown in Fig. 1. The slide and edgings may be grooved or crosscut to increase their flexibility.
