Abstract

807,329. Centrifugal separators. SVENSKA FLAKTFABRIKEN A.B. July 17, 1957, No. 22669/57. Class 23 In a cyclone having a tangential inlet 1, dust deposited in the gas outlet 5 and the dust outlet 4 is removed by axial movements of a scraper 6 having annular parts engaging the walls of the outlets. The scraper is reciprocated by means of a rock arm 7 mounted on an axle 8. The pitch of the helix forming the scraper corresponds to that of the outlet flow of gas so that separation is enhanced. In a modification the scraper comprises a rod having rings in the vicinity of the outlet.
