806,952. Unpacking. DU PONT DE NEMOURS & CO., E. I. July 23, 1956 [Aug. 23, 1955], No. 22697/56. Class 94(1). A device for stripping cut filaments 2 from a tape 3 to which they are secured by two rows of stitches 4 comprises a spindle 7, on which a spool 6 of the tape may be mounted, and a plate 10 formed with a slot 11 approximately equal in length to the width of the tape and provided with a finger 12 which projects into the slot and is narrower than the distance between the rows 4. After cutting the thread at the end of the rows 4, the tape is drawn through the slot 11 so that the sharp leading edge 15 of the finger strips the filaments from the tape as shown in Fig. 2.
