803,134. Photo-electric exposure meters. AGFA CAMERA-WERK A.G. Feb. 22, 1955 [March 6, 1954], No. 5350/55. Class 40 (3). [Also in Group XX] In a camera having a built-in exposure meter and in which the movement of an adjusting ring on the objective alters the reading of the exposure meter, an interchangeable objective carries a longitudinally movable rod to transmit the movement of the ring to the exposure meter. Preferably, rod 19 is threaded and has pinion 2 driven by toothed diaphragm ring 1. Rod 19 co-operates with plunger 17 when the objective is attached to the camera 10, and controls the position of screen flap 14 shielding photo-cell 13 of the exposure meter. Latch 12 secures the objective. An obvious alternative to the screen flap 14 is stated to be an electrical resistance arranged to vary the reading of the exposure meter.
