796,106. Cooling towers. LICENCIA TALALMANYOKAT ERTEKESITO VALLALAT. Oct. 28, 1955 [Dec. 22, 1954], No. 30868/55. Class 64(3) In a cooling tower comprising heat exchange elements 2 in which condensate from a steam power plant is cooled by a current of air drawn thereover by a fan 4, partitions 10 are provided within the tower and extend through the full height of the tower to compel air after flowing through one set of elements to flow upwardly and out of the tower. The tower shown is provided with a diffuser tube 6 mounted above the fan and may be square (as shown), polygonal or circular in cross-section.
