Abstract

795,702. Cow-milkers. FULLWOOD & BLAND, Ltd., R. J. Nov. 19, 1956 [Dec. 6, 1955], No. 35032/55. Class 84. A pulsator system for a cow milking installation comprises an electromagnetic pulsator communicating at its outlet with a conduit which feeds to the inflations of the teat cups and also communicates through a non-return valve with the milk pail so that the latter is placed under a reduced pressure by intermittent evacuation. The pulsator 3 has a solenoidoperated disc valve 30 to connect the conduit 23 alternately with vacuum pipe 35 or the air inlet 26. When de-energized the solenoid valve seals the vacuum pipe and a switch 38 is arranged to open-circuit the solenoid if the conduit 23 is removed from the pulsator. The pulsating vacuum is applied to the pail 2 through non- return valve 16 and also to the teat cup inflations along line 22.
