Abstract

795,631. Weighing apparatus. HESSER, MASCHINENFABRIK AKT.-GES., F. June 26, 1956 [Aug. 1, 1955], No. 19747/56. Class 143 A weigh pan comprises a tubular sleeve 1 of flexible sheet material suspended by a frame 3 from a weigh beam 5, and a pair of bars 8, 9 adapted to press the lower end of the sleeve flat. These bars are carried by pairs of levers 10, 11 which are pivotally mounted at 30 on a frame 29 secured to frame 3. The levers are moved against the action of a spring 12, to open the pan, by a wedge 13 which engages rollers 14 on the levers, and is raised and lowered by a solenoid 16 (Fig. 4, not shown) which is energized when a predetermined weight of material has been fed to the pan. The sleeve forming the pan can be of smooth fibre textile material, or of synthetic material such as polyethylene or polyvinyl.
