Abstract
795,344. Plywood. LINDHOLM, S., and FORS, G. Jan. 23, 1956 [Oct. 27, 1954], No. 31004/54. Class 145. A thin flexible panelled building element for doors, walls, counters, &c. is made by arranging strips 2 in the recesses 3 between upstanding ridges 4, 5, 6 of a jig, applying adhesive (either before or after the strips are placed in the jig) to the exposed faces of the strip, positioning a thin flexible board 1 or veneer against the glued surfaces of the strips and applying pressure to effect cohesion ; preferably both heat and pressure are used to effect cohesion. A single sheet of veneer or two sheets glued together may be used for the board 1.
